We were contacted by a customer in Essex whose installer had got out of their depth trying to get two heat pumps to work together on one heating system - click here for a video we made of the job. We proposed a design solution that involved splitting the system in two to improve low modulation performance and increase zoning flexibility without affecting system flow rates and volumes. This system didn't qualify for the £7500 BUS grant as it was a 'rescue job' that had been incorrectly specified by the homeowner and didn't fully comply with the strict MCS criteria.

Our design allowed the client to reduce their flow temperatures and thus their running costs. The increased flow rates through the system also helped stop a persistent low flow rate alarm fault that had been present since it was installed a year previously. We also implemented a weather compensation system on the UFH circuit to improve comfort

Although the customer didnt opt for an air source heat pump on this job they did choose a gas fired high spec Viessmann 222 high efficiency storage boiler running an advanced weather compensation system.
We were contacted by a customer in Rhos on Sea to upgrade her ancient off peak storage heaters with an air source heat pump and 7 radiators - click here for a video we made on the job. We specified a Viessmann Vitocal 100A and a 150L heat pump cylinder that we sited in the attic of the property. he customer was eligible for the £7,500 BUS grant and the job was completed within a week with minimal disruption. The customer has been very happy with the running costs and comfort of the new system.

This is what we'd consider the ultimate installation - click here for a video we made on the job. We had a client willing to go the extra mile to fully insulate his 100 year old property and install underfloor heating to the entire ground floor. We employed a buffer-less open loop control system and designed the system to run at an absolute maximum of 45 degrees on the coldest days. we expect this system to achieve efficiencies of 470% from the 10KW Vaillant Arotherm Plus outdoor unit.

We were contacted by HPIN to retrofit a Daikin heat pump in a new build property in LLandudno Junction. Although quite a large 4 bed property the heat pump was only a 6Kw unit and as the house was built to current part L regs it wasn't necessary to change any of the pipework, radiators or hot water tank to achieve an efficient system design, although a buffer was required due to the presence of 10mm plastic pipe in the install.
We were asked to install a Viessmann Vitocal 100A and underfloor heating as part of a major renovation of a 1960s property in Rhos on Sea - click here for a video we made of the job. This unit has been reliably achieving a SCOP of 4.8 for the past couple of years. When coupled with the solar battery this installation has worked out very well for the client.
A customer in Llandudno wated to decarbonise his property by fitting a solar array and battery storage as well as removing his gas fired boiler and swapping it for an air source heat pump. We completed the swap for him in 3 days we also installed a new unvented hot water tank.
We were approached by a customer to help put right a very badly installed LG heat pump. Our solution was to move the heat pump from its original location that wasn't really suitable and move it to a better position as well as move the hot water tank and controls to the other side of the house to shorten all pipe runs.
